Pros and cons of Prepware Private Pilot app for iPhone and iPad
Prepware Private Pilot app good for
Biggest advantage this app has is they update the question bank regularly. Scored a 98 on private pilot written other day
I did my exam today and got 95% because of this software its great! I totally recommend it!
Thanks for listening and adding the Are you sure button a little late for me and the update for the new questions but they were pretty similar and someone else will definitely benefit from it. Plus I can now check the ones I got wrong.
I sit with my left hand on the top left corner so every now and then during a test I would hit the back butting and drive myself insane so am very glad you put that fail safe in. Hopefully you added it to your other stuff as well as Ill be getting those soon too.
Thanks again!
The people who left a 2 star rating did not have a good iPhone or did not know how to use the app. If you take a test with the computer supplement like the actual test it will be fine and portable. I used this app along with ground instruction and passed my written with a B : )
So, today I took my written, private rotorcraft helicopter. This app was the only test-prep material I bought. So, when you compare spending $10 instead of $40ish, which is the next available option (from what I was able to find), it seems like a good deal. And it works! (I got 97% on the test)
I used this to study for my private pilot exam and it is simply excellent, sometimes it might be boring for some to study from the test guide book but if you are looking for some good and handy app to study for the exam, this one is it.
I did my exam already and got a 88%
All my friends in the aviation school highly recommend this one, so do I jeje.
I just passed my exam with 95%. The exam was presented just like this app. Best money I spent on exam prep.
Some bad moments
They REALLY need to fix this app - when u look at diagrams - you hit the back button, but press it again by mistake and you will exit the test. Rough if youre up to 75 out of 100 questions. NOT a recommend until ASA fixes this.
About the only good thing that I can say about this app compared to the GroundSchool app that I ended up mostly using is that this one cost less. other than that, I found it pretty buggy .. For example, when you click on "grade" it gives you a box "do you want to grade" but only one choice essentially.. Yes. Howeve,r the biggest problem is the explanations. They are generally little more than restatements of the correct answer, and none are illustrated, its particularly bad for flight planning questions.. Its basically impossible to learn those, weather, weight and balance, and performance questions since the explanations are so meager. This app is clearly aimed only at those who want to memorize, not learn.
The test questions are truncated when viewed on my iPhone. The iPad app does not seem to have this problem. Unusable on my iPhone until fixed.
The same with the AMT app. The new look is great but the the questions and answers are shown incomplete or cutoff when the app is used in an iPhone5. Please fix it. It makes it difficult to understand the question with the words cut off. Is a great app to study on the go! Thank you!!!!
"(Refer to illustration 3) the relative" ... The relative what? Questions are cut off, you cannot make sense of anything so it has gone from five to one star rating
did no one double check the update before it went live??? questions are cutoff and so are the answers. fix this NOW!
